"I first went to New York when I applied for an internship back in 1995. Since then, the city has changed, I have changed, and the one thing that has been constant is that it remains one of my favorite drawing subjects.
Even though I lived there for more than a decade, I’m still mesmerized by the mix of grittiness and grandeur. The drawings are not “portraits of a city”, but rather drawn postcards I send to myself to share a visual moment that I found remarkable in one way or another."
